The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Military and Veteran Recruiter to join their team in Renton WA Everett WA North Charleston SC or Seattle WA. This role will support the Military Connected and Veterans Program Senior Manager through talent pipeline development across all BCA roles and sites.
In this role you will be critical in providing innovative solutions and strategic recommendations to unique challenges based on your workforce development and manufacturing business environment knowledge. To thrive you must develop effective lasting and collaborative relationships with employees managers leaders peers partners external stakeholders and team members. A successful candidate will operate well within ambiguity adapt quickly to changing environments and have a strong understanding and value of the importance of inclusion in the manufacturing pipeline.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop strategies in partnership with BCA business and Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) leaders to attract and hire service members Veterans and military spouses into BCA roles
Enhance relationships with various military channels of recruitment that align to the skills needs of BCA
Provide a white glove service to candidates ensuring they align to the right roles increasing the employee experience and retention
Develop and maintain relationships with military transition assistance programs (TAP) DOD stakeholders and Veteran Service Organizations
Assimilate Veteran recruitment data for BCA and recommend strategy and actions
Support military-connected onboarding delivery monthly information sessions etc
Expand reach of program through regular cadences with business workforce development skill teams managers and broader HR
Partner closely with the Military Spouse Career Accelerator Program and SkillBridge program managers to expand BCA utilization rates; source and recruit military-connected individuals for roles
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in recruiting talent (sourcing screening and closing both internal and external candidates)
5 years of experience working with Military or DoD customers
3 years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives
3 years of experience with strategic sourcing including the use of a variety of tools including LinkedIn and professional networks Boolean searches and other social media tools
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
Capable of traveling up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent Military experience
5 years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions and/or programs
3 years of experience communicating and implementing talent/recruitment/training programs policies practices and processes
1 years of experience with Workday
Experience speaking at public events in both government and academic forums
Experience collaborating with senior level/executive level management
Experience in a role requiring influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to gain access to military installations
