The National Accounts Manager- Convenience Channel role focuses on developing the availability and velocity of Deschutes Brewery and Boneyard Beer products to grow overall sales volume in the channel across national regional and local convenience store chains. This role is based out of Dallas TX or Houston TX.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Develop annual business plans for assigned accounts and identify resources needed to successfully execute.
- Establish relationships and maintain high level of interaction and communication with retail chain buyers and their respective division and district management teams.
- Identify and set distribution objectives within assigned accounts and develop selling story and action plan to successfully close against objectives.
- Partner with Marketing to create and deliver chain specific programs that are consistent with Deschutes Brewerys overall brand objectives and deliver a long-term return on the program investment.
- Effectively communicate with the Deschutes Brewery field sales team and distributor network to ensure flawless execution against mandated product authorizations and programs.
- Implement organize execute and evaluate promotions within assigned chains.
- Prepare and present trimester reviews highlighting execution against plan and current opportunities.
- Provide leadership on category and channel opportunities.
- Plan and manage resources to address chain account opportunities.
- Conduct retail account staff trainings as required.
- Analyze internal and external data resources to develop fact-based presentations that support business plans.
- Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Need for this Position:
- 5 years experience selling beverages to national regional and local convenience chains.
- Bachelors degree in business marketing or related field.
- Previous experience working with key convenience retailer and distributor partners which include but are not limited to 7-Eleven CEFCO Ben E Keith.
- Knowledge of beverage sales marketing and merchandising strategies and tactics.
- Experience in understanding and applying insights garnered from IRI and/or Nielsen.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities with resourcefulness and a sense of urgency.
- Strong written and oral communication including the ability to deliver executive-level presentations.
- Conduct daily business in an autonomous fashion while maintaining good business sense i.e. managing time constraints financial guidelines and company ethics.
- Ability to deliver projects and initiatives within budgetary guidelines.
- Industry networking ability (supplier wholesaler and retailer).
- Strong computer skills are a must including demonstrated experience with MS Office suite.
- Must be able to meet company driving standards.
- Residence in the state of Texas required.
