POSITION OVERVIEW
This position coordinates the day-to-day activities of the warehouse department to ensure that all deliveries handling transactions and internal material requests are managed accurately safely and in a timely manner. Manages all warehouse tasks and is accountable for all aspects of the warehouse. Verifies and keeps records on inbound shipments and works with supply teams to resolve discrepancies. Leads and develops warehouse team to be able to carry out all warehouse tasks without immediate supervision for periods of one week or less. Works with all operational teams to ensure collective success of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise team: Manage KPIs team performance and handle disciplinary infractions as needed.
- Leads material handlers activities to achieve daily work requirements of material receipt WO picking and general Warehouse operations.
- Ensures compliance with applicable OSHA regulations; drives safety improvement
- Collaborates with Operational team leaders to ensure success of the overall team.
- Leads by example hands on. Develops team members through coaching regular reviews and individual development plans.
- Creates procedures for all aspects of the Warehouse process and trains team to execute accurately to these.
- Responsible for all aspects of material handling equipment used on site including but not limited to safety maintenance and training.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of trash collection contract with appointed vendor. Identifies areas for improvement and works with vendor to implement.
- Manages all aspects of material storage for both Fi and COI inventory. Interfaces with other departments as required to resolve issues or provide required support for activities.
- Manages cycle count activity ensuring accountability for investigation corrections and applicable corrective action.
- Maintains inventory of Warehouse materials and supplies.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Trains new employees on Warehouse processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- At least five (5) years or more experience leading / supervising a team in an operational environment.
- Three (3) years or more experience coordinating shipments in a warehouse/ distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of a high school education
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs Sheets and Forms
- Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes
- Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship
- Able to use sound judgment work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes
- Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Working Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
