Amazon Publishing is seeking a customer-obsessed data-driven marketer who is passionate about books to drive awareness and paid performance marketing initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented performance marketer who wants to think strategically about new customer acquisition and growing successful author brands through innovative and creative marketing solutions. You will be responsible for creating and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns and optimizing for performance across channels. You will partner cross-functionally with editorial author relations business intelligence and global marketing teams to identify the relevant audience metadata and packaging most likely to appeal to the target readers as well as devising effective marketing campaigns that build author reputations and book interest. This is a multi-faceted job in a fast-paced high productivity environment that requires flexibility forward-thinking and a sense of humor. Position is based in Seattle office with possibility of New York office for the right candidate.
Key job responsibilities Oversee product and campaign performance marketing including relevant audience identification for multiple Amazon Publishing imprints. Devise marketing strategies for our marquee books and coordinate marketing plans for authors worldwide. Proactively identify new marketing levers to test and remove author pain points. Demonstrate analytical thinking focused on data analysis continually optimized for campaign success. Create and manage marketing activities that build author reputations and foster long-term writing careers. Build and maintain excellent internal and external relationships based on superior verbal and written communication skills. Explore and implement AI tools and other processes to streamline internal marketing efforts and improve operational efficiency.

- 4 years of professional non-internship marketing experience - Experience building executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion - Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data - Demonstrated ability to distill complex data into clear actionable insights
- Experience using customer research hard data and metrics to back up assumptions generate forecasts and assess the efficacy of marketing programs - Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email web analytics and CRM (Marketo Tableau Salesforce etc.) for targeting segmentation reporting for demand generation - Experience with A/B testing especially around audience segmentation and targeting - Superior communication and analytical skills including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
