Engineering Cab (eCab) Systems & Integration Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Engineering Cab (eCab) Systems & Integration Engineer to become part of the Engineering Cab Systems Integration & Operations team based in Seattle WA.

This team is tasked with the design construction and operation of a range of top-tier Flight Deck simulators that support both current production and future models of Boeing Commercial Aircraft. We are actively seeking engineers specializing in systems hardware and software integration to aid in the ongoing development and operation of these exceptional assets.

Our systems integrators serve as the primary engineers interacting with customers during each test session in our E-Cabs. They are involved in a diverse array of testing and troubleshooting activities related to flight deck hardware mission systems simulation and control inputs as well as lab environment systems and facilities.

Some positions also emphasize the design construction and support of electro-mechanical hardware and software systems that aim to replicate the in-flight experience for pilots featuring high-fidelity visual and auditory simulations along with control force feedback.

Join our enthusiastic and driven team at the crossroads of aviation hardware and software simulation! BT&E is currently hiring for early career experience levels including Entry-Level and Associate level Engineering Cab (eCab) Systems & Integration Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Power up the lab to ensure all systems are operational and troubleshooting as required
  • Configure the flight hardware / simulation software models and ensure the systems are responding on the busses and the lab is ready for test / flight operations
  • Prepare any data collection needs for the test team
  • Assist the test teams in performing their tests / flying the airplane as needed
  • Develop expertise in one or more cab systems including: high fidelity out-the-window visuals; pilot controls loading; motion systems; aural systems; weather air traffic (TCAS) and radio simulations; heads up and heads down displays; or audio/visual display systems
  • Learn our simulation code and being responsible for assigned models testing and submitting models on time for simulation release dates
  • Ensure the hardware and software systems are maintained and calibrated for use in our simulators
  • Maintain configuration control of the cab systems throughout our labs
  • Perform real-time evaluation and optimization of our systems to ensure our latency requirements are met

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
  • 1 years of full-time aerospace industry experience within Avionics Electrical Software Cabin Systems Inflight Entertainment Systems or Electro-Magnetic Effects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary pay range for associate level: $85850 $116150
