The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Progressive Care Unit/ IMCis a 32-bed general surgical unit. The unit offers three levels of care: Floor Telemetry and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC).You will learn many valuable nursing skills through a comprehensive structured unit orientation attend core Department of Surgery courses and be assigned a designated preceptor during your residency.
- All New Graduate Registered Nurses will be automatically enrolled in a year-long accredited Nurse Residency Program (NRP) to facilitate a successful transition into professional nursing practice.
- The charge nurse does not have a patient assignment to be available as a resource during each shift.
- Monday - Fridays 10:30AM - 11:00PM anexperienced nurse functions as a resource nurse. They have no patient assignment so they are available to assist with admissions discharges troubleshooting emergencies and more!

Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of Clinical Rotations and Practicum listed on resume.
- AssociateDegree in Nursing required.
- Tuition reimbursement - BSN/MSN matriculation required within one-year of hire and completion ofdegree within five-years of hire.
- Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
- CPR/BLScertification required. AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted.

- Nurses hired with an Associates degreein nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of your start date.

Salary Range: Minimum35.02/hour - Maximum52.69/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
