Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week contract in the Main OR. This high-volume fast-paced surgical unit requires a CST with a solid background in a broad range of specialties including general neuro ortho GYN urology and robotics. Candidates must have at least 1 year of acute hospital experience and an active WA CST license. First-time travelers are not accepted.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating room and sterile fields with instruments equipment and supplies
Assist surgical team by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures
Maintain aseptic and sterile technique at all times
Safely handle surgical specimens and perform counts in accordance with facility policy
Support robotic-assisted surgeries using Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
Maintain and monitor surgical equipment (case carts crash carts instrumentation)
Document surgical procedures as required
Float to day surgery unit as needed
Participate in weekend and night call coverage based on facility needs and skill match
WA CST License: Required at submission no pending licenses
Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent CST experience
Certifications:
Required: BLS
Charting System: Not specified to be confirmed by recruiter

Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Experience:
1 year of operating room experience in a high-volume acute care hospital required
License:
Active Washington State CST license (must be verified prior to submittal)
NBSTSA certification preferred if applicable by state/facility requirement
