Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Unit Coordinator to support our patient care team. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee the Unit Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining a clean efficient and supportive patient care environment. This individual ensures timely coordination of indirect patient care staff and oversees resources logistics and workflow to keep the unit running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the patient care environment to ensure cleanliness organization and efficiency
Coordinate and oversee the work of assigned support personnel
Assist in evaluating supply and equipment needs establish usage standards and monitor utilization
Support long- and short-term planning and operational decision-making under the guidance of the Nurse Manager
Participate in performance management training and staffing decisions for support staff
Collaborate with nursing support services and environmental services teams to meet unit needs
Ensure adherence to hospital policies procedures and safety standards
Qualifications:
Associates degree or completion of two years of college-level work in business management or allied health field
12 years of related work experience in a healthcare setting required
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare environmental services
Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills
Moderate analytical ability to support operational planning and policy development
Familiarity with computer systems and software related to inventory and environmental services
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of cleaning systems people management and resource allocation
Experience in healthcare support operations such as inventory control logistics or customer service

Salary Range: Minimum$17.11/hour - Maximum$28.26/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
