The International Care Coordinator (ICC) at Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHMI) delivers seamless high-quality and culturally appropriate medical care coordination to international patients. As a dedicated single point of contact the coordinator effectively liaises between various internal JHMI departments (including patient financial services the international clinical team marketing etc.) Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) providers and staff and external stakeholders such as payors and vendors.

  • Ensures appropriate inpatient and/or outpatient care for international patients
  • Manages all necessary consultations treatments medications and medical equipment maintaining consistent communication with all parties involved
  • Serves as a crucial bridge assisting patients and JHM providers by navigating cultural and linguistic differences that could affect patient care
  • Cultivates strong collaborative relationships internally and externally to accommodate specific needs contribute to patient volume growth and promote effective teamwork across diverse interdisciplinary teams

Hours:

  • Full Time Day shift (40 hours) 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in healthcare business administration or a related field is required
  • Required verbal and written proficiency in English and a foreign language (such as Spanish Arabic and/or Mandarin but other foreignlanguages will be accepted as per business needs
  • Must pass the Qualified Bilingual Staff Assessment level I (bilingual speaker) medical interpretation test delivered by Johns Hopkins prior to hire
  • 3 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience specifically in customer service in a healthcare setting that involved interaction with patients/clinicians
  • Proficiency in medical terms conditions and treatment options to effectively communicate with patients and medical professionals

Salary Range: Minimum 23.96/hour - Maximum 39.57/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
