Wizards of the Coast is seeking a Director Marketing Effectiveness & Testing to sit in a growing team responsible for analyzing the impact of marketing for Magic: The Gathering. This role requires a mix of technical expertise business sense and leadership to ensure that data not only advises decision-making but also drives revenue growth and improves partner teams success.
A day in the life as a Director Marketing Effectiveness & Testing on the Marketing Effectiveness team:
Strategic Leadership & Business Impact
- Define and implement a multidisciplinary analytics vision that aligns with MTGs business goals and varying teams.
- Assist in guiding the development of predictive analytics insights based on AI and strategies for automating data to improve media and marketing performance.
- Act as MTGs leader in marketing analytics and experimentation staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
- Be responsible for campaign measurement and benchmarking across sets ensuring consistency across marketing impact analyses.
Cross-Functional Teamwork & Partner Leadership
- Act as the primary data and analytics advisor for key customers delivering insights that shape high-impact marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with brand media and commercial teams to integrate data-driven thinking into campaign development and execution.
- Deliver high-impact presentations to executive leadership teams translating complex data into compelling narratives that drive business decisions.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships across the business positioning the team as the hub for any analytical effort coming out of the CMOs organization.
- Partner with team of data scientists and modelers to drive agenda of advanced analytics and experimentation.
Technology Tools & Innovation
- Lead all aspects of the selection implementation and optimization of analytics tools and partners
- Serve as the marketing lead for the integration of data warehousing automation and AI solutions to improve efficiency and predictive capabilities.
- Identify new technologies and methodologies to improve campaign measurement audience segmentation and real-time insights.
What Youll Bring
- Proven experience in data analytics marketing analytics or related fields with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong ability to analyze business trends and turn data insights into strategies that drive revenue.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills with experience addressing executive teams and high-level partners.
- Experience partnering with data science and advanced analytics teams to provide use cases and inputs for modeling/predictive outputs.
This role will be based in Renton WA and expected to be in office three days a week.

The base salary range for this position is $152000.00 to $228000.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience skills and market conditions. Additionally employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
