Job Description
UFG is currently hiring for a ETL Developer II to join our team. This position requires a critical thinker with strong technical skills 2 years experience with ETL tools such as SSIS Informatica or SAP/BODS and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Successful candidates will be highly motivated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ETL processes and integrations for incoming and outgoing data transfer.
- Write and maintain stored procedures functions or queries to analyze and interpret data on target and sources systems.
- Troubleshoot analyze and provide resolutions to complex data and process issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to clarify and validate requirements.
- Perform unit tests have code reviewed by another team member and prepare code for deployment.
- Provide after-hours and release support.
- Document technical and system specifications for ETL processes.
- Understand software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing.
- Work closely and share ideas with Developers Business Analysts QA Analysts Product Owner and Scrum Master.
- Complete Quality Assurance testing.
- Work closely with DBAs to monitor identify and implement performance tuning opportunities.
- Perform source to target data gap analysis mappings and data integration design.
- As member of an agile team you may perform duties that are typically performed by other job types/role.
- As member of an agile team this role will be accountable to the team Working Agreement and evolving processes developed and adopted by the team.
Job Specifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or related degree preferred.
Certifications/Designations:
- Employees are expected to participate in continuing education throughout their careers.
Experience:
- 2 years experience with ETL development and data warehousing including:
- Extracting transforming and loading data using ETL tools such as SSIS Informatica or SAP/BODS Designer and Data Management Tool
- Front end reporting tools such as Tableau or Cognos
- Data cleansing and masking routines
- Developing end user interfaces to the data warehouse
- SQL query optimization
- Grooming requirements into a technical solution
- Creating technical documentation
- Experience in the following preferred:
- SAP/BODS Designer and Data Management Tools
- PowerShell scripting
- Agile/Scrum
- GitHub
- Insurance
Working Conditions:
- General Office Environment.
- Travel up to two times a year. This may include overnight stay.
- Remote in-office and hybrid work arrangements available.
