The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer to support the development of AN/SQQ-89 A(V)15 operational and maintenance Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) for U.S. Navy ships. This role is vital to our support of Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 5B)helping ensure mission readiness and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Logisticians and Technical Writers to develop high-quality technical data.
Serve as an AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Subject Matter Expert (SME) creating precise user-friendly templates.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear concise and accurate documentation.
Lead documentation reviews ensuring compliance with quality standards. Conduct quality assessments for technical manuals delivered to U.S. Navy ships.
Basic Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with AN/SQQ-89A(V) ACB/APB sonar system equipment.
Bachelors degree 4 years of AN/SQQ-89(V) operational & maintenance experience (Additional experience may be considered in place of a degree).
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Strong written communication grammar and organizational skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and work effectively with technical SMEs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of AN/SQQ-89(V) system operations and maintenance. Experience with S1000D or similar collaborative product data systems. Knowledge of system functional segments sonar tactical equipment and LAN administration. Familiarity with NAVSEA programs and lifecycle support. Ability to travel when required.
