Job Description


key member of a small IT team that functions much like an internal MSP delivering comprehensive IT support and infrastructure services to multiple subsidiaries across the organization. This role blends strategic infrastructure work with hands-on systems administration and user support. Youll be responsible for maintaining the health and performance of our IT systems while also responding to support requests troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring seamless user experience. Youll manage support tickets uphold service level expectations and collaborate closely with our external MSP to ensure consistent high-quality service delivery. This is a highly visible cross-functional role that requires a balance of technical depth customer service excellence and adaptability. Youll support a wide range of technologies and users across multiple locations contributing to both day-to-day operations and long-term IT initiatives.


Responsibilities:


Infrastructure Architecture & System Health:

Design implement and manage server storage and network infrastructure across hybrid environments (on-prem Azure AWS)

Architect scalable secure and resilient systems aligned with business continuity and disaster recovery.

Lead environment hardening patching and compliance initiatives.

Implement and manage monitoring tools to proactively assess system performance and health.

Use automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell Python) to streamline infrastructure deployments and operations.

System Administration & End-User Support

Provide comprehensive support across the IT environment including end-user support systems administration and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Support and maintain:

o Windows AD Azure AWS

o O365 Services (Exchange Online Intune SharePoint Teams)

o Telephony/AV Systems (TeamsVoice)

o User accounts permissions printers and mobile devices

Provision deprovision and maintain hardware software and user access.

Coordinate device repairs and manage asset lifecycle.

Log and manage incidents and requests using Jira Service Management.

Deliver technical guidance and training to users and junior IT staff.

Collaborate & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with internal teams and MSPs to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Identify and implement system optimizations to enhance performance and user experience.

Maintain accurate documentation standard operating procedures and training materials.


Knowledge/Experience and Skills:

Strong background in O365 applications and services including Microsoft Office Teams Exchange SharePoint Intune Power Apps and others. Experience with Jira Service Management Adobe and Sage is a plus.

Proven experience in end-user support and training with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical users both verbally and in writing.

Solid experience in IT systems and network administration including knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Azure. AWS experience is a plus.

Experience with automation and scripting to streamline IT processes.

Proficient in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

Self-motivated reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain focus under pressure.

Adaptable to changing business needs with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Collaborative team player with the ability to solve problems through cooperation.

Skilled in preparing reports conducting investigations and reviewing documents/logs.

Quick to learn and support new fast-evolving technologies.

Sound judgment in identifying next steps and developing appropriate solutions.

Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Project management skills with the ability to lead or participate in IT projects.


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field or other relevant professional experience.

  • 5 years of network administration and helpdesk experience.

  • IT certifications or equivalent experience.

  • Formal education in a business field is preferred.
