Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Regency High School
Join a dedicated team in a vibrant special school that supports young people aged 11 to 19 with complex learning difficulties. Youll play a key role in creating a positive and nurturing environment working alongside passionate professionals to help every child grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.
Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary:7.55 an hourAutomatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19 year olds
- Working Week:Monday 8:40am - 3:30pm Tuesday 8:30am - 4:45pm Wednesday 8:40am - 3:30pm/4:45pm every other week Thursday 8:30am - 3:30pm and Friday 8:40am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break
- Hours:33.5 hours per week
- Duration:18 months
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification

Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils through tailored classroom activities one-to-one support and small group work.
- Foster social emotional and intellectual development in a compassionate person-centred way.
- Assist with personal care mobility and medical needs as required.
- Promote independence and build self-esteem in daily interactions.
- Help plan and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Work closely with teachers therapists and families to ensure a consistent approach to support.
- Participate in creative physical and community-based activities including PE swimming and school trips.
- Contribute to a safe inclusive and inspiring learning environment where all students can thrive.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end
The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification.
Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentices needs the frequency of these sessions may vary.

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - Matrix Screening.
