A fantastic opportunity with a privately owned civil engineering construction company who work within resources local authorities and main roads projects across North QLD. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry this contactor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads earthworks drainage and concrete structures with a long history in the industry.
We are currently seeking an inhouse Civil Surveyor to join the civil construction team across various projects. This Surveyor will be responsible for providing accurate surveying services to support the successful delivery of road and earthworks projects. In this role you will require exceptional planning and organisational skills ensuring precision in layout levels and site planning.
Reporting into the Project Manager your responsibilities will include
- Perform general field surveys for construction roadworks and earthmoving operations
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments including GPS and total stations
- Interpret engineering plans ensure accurate transfer of data /design information to site teams
- Prepare and review survey data reports and documentation
- Liaising/planning with construction teams for site survey requirements
- Ensuring the adherence to survey quality procedures and leading a culture of safety and productivity across the project.
The successful individual must have 3 5 years civil infrastructure experience preferably across road and earthworks projects. Proficient in using survey equipment and software (Trimble Leica or similar). Strong communication skills ability to work autonomously and apart of the team. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Surveying or a related discipline.
