About the Role
Were looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality backend systems that solve real-world problems. In this role youll help design and scale the core services that power our growing digital health platform supporting individuals and families in their fertility and family-forming journeys. Youll work in a collaborative product-focused environment where clean architecture performance and reliability are critical. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful technology that has real human impact while working with modern tools and a supportive cross-functional team.
Tasks
What Youll Do
- Build and maintain backend APIs and services using Python (Django) GraphQL and PostgreSQL
- Work closely with Product Design and Frontend to develop features end-to-end
- Optimize performance scalability and reliability of backend systems
- Contribute to architectural decisions (data modeling authentication etc.)
- Write well-tested production-grade code and participate in peer reviews
- Collaborate on DevOps topics using tools like GitHub Actions and Terraform
Requirements
What Youll Need
- 3 years of backend development experience in a product-focused environment
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Django
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud infra (AWS) and CI/CD
- Bonus: Exposure to QA practices or AI dev tools GraphQL
