The Student Employment Coordinator in the Financial Aid Department oversees all aspects of student employment including Federal Work-Study Presidential Work-Study and Graduate Assistant programs. This role ensures compliance with institutional state and federal regulations while managing job placements onboarding payroll coordination and related administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate student job placements payroll timekeeping and employment records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state/institutional regulations.
  • Reconcile work-study accounts and prepare monthly/annual reports.
  • Support students staff and faculty with onboarding and job-related inquiries.
  • Train supervisors on student employment policies and procedures.
  • Audit employment records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead employment presentations at Summer Orientation Patriot Preview Day and related events.
  • Assist the Financial Aid Director with reporting and general support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of administrative experience preferably in HR Financial Aid or Student Employment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Workday Banner Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
