Job Description

We are hiring an Early Head Start Teacher in our Head Start classroom. These teachers will work with children from birth to 3 years of age. This position is 40 hours a week year-round. The typical work schedule is 7:45 a.m.- 4:15 p.m.


Our Early Head Start Teacher earns a competitive wage of $23.21/hour. We also provide generous benefits which include:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Early Head Start Teacher works cooperatively as a member of a classroom team to deliver high-quality services for all children and families and is responsible for the safety supervision and activities of the children from birth to 3 years of age assigned under their care in the program.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on infant and toddler development or Child Development Associate credential
  • 1 year of related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Development with a focus on infant and toddler development
  • Previous Early Head Start experience or experience working with infants/toddlers teen mothers and homeless families
  • Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA
