Position Overview
As an Office Assistant in the Criminal Justice Services-Bureau of Identification section within the Division of Justice Services under direction conducts a search of local and state criminal history record information files and in process files to determine the status of missing disposition data. Contacts states attorney circuit clerk and other law enforcement agencies to obtain disposition data. Reviews records files and correspondence and makes calls to obtain disposition data. Types complex reports charts and graphs which include terminology where an understanding of specialized terms is required to ensure accuracy and clarity regarding disposition data as assigned.

Essential Functions
- Retrieves disposition data for criminal and non-criminal justice purposes.
- Reviews and processes CHRI data contained on computerized logs.
- Disseminates correspondence to criminal justice agencies regarding missing disposition data.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school and one year of related office experience.
- Requires ability to accurately type 35 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers one (1) year direct working knowledge and experience with ability obtain and maintain LEADS (LTFA) certification.
- Prefers one (1) year direct working knowledge and experience with CHRI or similar program.
- Prefers one (1) year experience following oral and/or written instructions.
