Job Summary
The Boutique Consultant working under the Boutique Manager will educate recommend and sell prenatal lactation cancer newborn products and supplies specific to patient needs. The consultant is responsible for scheduling and conducting fittings for hair and breast prosthesis as well as nursing and post-mastectomy bras. The Retail Consultant will assist with inventory control merchandising ordering and bookkeeping as needed in both the boutique area and resource center.
Job Responsibilities
- Educate consult and recommend boutique products to clients.
- Fit nursing bras and apparel breast prosthesis and post mastectomy bras and wigs with expertise and in a caring and compassionate manner.
- Create and maintain patient file and coordinate with healthcare providers on patient needs.
- Operate a computerized register system and generate daily reconciliation and miscellaneous reports as needed.
- Receive ticket and displays merchandise in accordance with established policies and in a timely manner.
- Perform general store maintenance and housekeeping; monitor and maintain the condition and safekeeping of merchandise.
- Assist with marketing advertising and special promotions and events as requested.
- Communicate with Boutique Manager regarding client needs and/or comments.
- Maintain knowledge of all boutique products and promotes sales of such items.
- Assists with inventory control merchandising ordering and bookkeeping as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Trained and certified in the fitting of nursing and post mastectomy bras and prosthesis
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: Six (6) months retail sales experience
License/Certification Requirements
- Obtain manufacturer certification within 6 months of start date and BOC or ABC certified within 18 months.
