AR&D Lab and Sample Coordinator

The AR&D Lab and Sample Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Analytical Laboratory is properly stocked and prepared for daily work to meet the business needs and production schedule. The AR&D Lab and Sample Coordinator maintains all ordering and stocking of the laboratories as well as scheduling outside maintenance and calibration services for laboratory equipment.
Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM

The Role
Ensure that all supplies are ordered/received/stocked in a timely manner; Expedite urgent orders and track backorders.
Work with vendors to obtain best pricing. Work with vendor representatives on weekly VMI.
Request purchase orders through JD Edwards System (requisition system); track purchase orders through approval/PO conversion process.
Inspect and verify supplies upon arrival in warehouse and deliver log in and stock supplies in Analytical Laboratory.
Obtain vendor invoices that are past due; investigate and resolve VS invoicing discrepancies.
Maintain SDS documentation for all chemicals ordered and used in the Analytical Laboratory and provide to EHS Department.
Maintain sample room and controlled substance storage organization; sample coordination within the lab and outside testing facilities
In combination with other lab personnel be responsible for a clean and safe working environment.
Other duties assigned
The Candidate
HS Diploma or GED required.
1 years of work experience with ordering preferred.
Knowledge and demonstrated performance regarding all lab safety process and procedures and the ability to work safely with chemicals of varying potency
Individual may be required to sit stand walk for an extended period of time. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and frequent use of computer monitor. Assisting with other personnel with lifting of liquid containers and all objects of greater than 50 lbs.
