You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe National Sales Manager will serve as the custodian of our clients business across Ghana ensuring the achievement of sales and collection targets product availability effective Route-to-Market (RTM) execution and team leadership. This role requires strategic oversight of sales operations across multiple channels while fostering growth for assigned principal products.
Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets (both volume and value) as set by the company.
Ensure consistent collection of payments from customers to meet monthly collection goals.
Drive growth and numeric expansion through the onboarding of new outlets and customers.
Ensure product availability in all relevant outlets and sales channels (including traditional trade and modern trade) across the country.
Supervise the deployment and maintenance of Point-of-Purchase (POP) materials in alignment with principal company standards.
Manage stock levels to minimize overstocking or stock-outs across territories.
Oversee and develop a robust secondary sales force and nationwide distribution network.
Provide leadership and direction to internal sales teams and liaise effectively with representatives from the principal company.
Monitor and manage the execution of all trade programs and promotional activities.
Drive performance management and coaching of sales personnel to optimize productivity.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
Monitor competitor activities and deliver timely market insights to the Business Head.
Prepare and submit accurate reports on sales performance collections promotional activities and market developments.
Ensure effective credit control and manage customer debts across all channels to remain within acceptable risk limits.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Results-driven with the ability to work under pressure
Solid mathematical and analytical ability
Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Comprehensive understanding of Ghana s consumer goods market and retail channel structures
In-depth knowledge of sales principles and channel management
Sound financial literacy and ability to interpret financial data
Awareness of market trends and competitor activities
A Master s Degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales or a related field
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar sales leadership role preferably in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector
Experience in team management and working with distribution networks
Fresh graduates with high leadership potential and relevant exposure may also be considered.
