Job Description
As a Site Reliability Engineer supporting Logistics and Route to Market functions you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer-facing applications are stable high-performing and capable of scaling to meet demand. This role focuses on anticipating and resolving system issues implementing automation to streamline operations enhancing visibility into application health and working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver consistently smooth user experiences. You will play a key part in embedding best practices across operations reliability engineering and incident response within a multi-cloud enterprise-scale environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactive Operations & Incident Management
Examine recurring system issues to uncover root causes and work alongside product teams to implement long-term fixes.
Monitor alerts actively detect potential disruptions early and collaborate with key stakeholders to strengthen system performance and uptime.
Assist teams in shaping their backlogs with operational improvements focused on resilience and efficiency.
Produce and maintain clear documentation for runbooks standard operating procedures and incident resolution guides.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
Lead diagnostics and root cause analysis of complex incidents coordinating with vendors and external technology providers where needed.
Be a key contributor to major incident response efforts including participation in on-call rotations to ensure rapid service restoration.
Automation & Process Optimization
Identify routine tasks that can be automated and implement tools or scripts to reduce manual work.
Partner with security and infrastructure teams to build automation into key areas like compliance monitoring and operational tasks.
Monitoring & Observability
Utilize metrics logging and tracing tools to drive faster incident detection and resolution while continuously improving system performance.
Analyze system data to uncover performance bottlenecks and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
Collaborative Engineering & Knowledge Sharing
Engage with architects and engineers to proactively design systems for fault tolerance and maintainability.
Suggest architectural improvements and reliability-focused design changes based on real-world data and service patterns.
Connect with internal reliability and service integration communities to share lessons learned support initiatives and adopt emerging practices.
Requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
A degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related technical field.
Over 5 years of experience working with SAP solutions in the logistics space including hands-on configuration integration and optimization of modules such as DSD Warehouse Management Shipping and Transportation.
Strong understanding of SAP Inventory processes SAP EWM and SAP TM within an S/4HANA environment.
Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve high-impact incidents swiftly and methodically.
Experience with mobile logistics platforms such as Honeywell Movilizer DSD or Osapiens for Distribution is a plus.
Familiarity with logistics optimization tools like Ortec LEO or similar systems used for packing and delivery route optimization.
Solid grasp of data governance concepts and experience aligning systems with process and data standards.
Skilled communicator and collaborator capable of aligning technical efforts across diverse teams.
Fluent in English both written and spoken with strong interpersonal and technical communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
SAP-related certifications or credentials in relevant platforms or applications.
Hands-on experience with full-stack systems that include web and mobile interfaces.
Proficiency with scripting and automation tools used to improve operational workflows and incident handling.
Working knowledge of Agile development practices; SAFe certification is a strong advantage.
Experience with data integration pipelines and secure data transfers across SAP modules and external platforms including mobile.
