Job Description
What Youll Do:
As a valued member of our housekeeping team you provide exceptional cleaning and sanitation services that contribute directly to patient safety and comfort. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- *Thoroughly cleaning rooms washrooms hallways windows carpets and high-touch surfaces
- *Maintaining cleanliness of light fixtures furniture vents and mattresses
- Making and changing beds
- Dusting mopping vacuuming and polishing floors
- Replenishing hygiene supplies
- Emptying garbage and biohazard containers
- Setting up furniture and performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance needs
- Adhering strictly to infection prevention safety and healthcare standards
- Working closely with fellow team members and hospital staff to ensure timely service
Schedule Details:
Shift: 4th Floor Surge/5th Floor CCIT
- M: 1000-1800
- T: OFF
- W: OFF
- TH: 1000-1800
- F: 1000-1800
- Sat: 1000-1800
- Sun: 1000-1800
Flexibility is important as schedules may change based on department needs.
Pre-employment Requirements:
- Vulnerable Sector Check - Final Copy
- Complete Immunization Records (Measles Mumps Rubella Varicella Hepatitis A and B Diphtheria Tetanus Polio TB Skin Tests - Steps 1 and 2)
Qualifications :
What You Bring:
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks stand for long periods and handle equipment
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vulnerable Sector Background Check and up-to-date immunization records
- At least 1 year of housekeeping or custodial experiencehealthcare setting experience is a strong asset
