About Our Group
Our Worldwide Sales team builds relationships to understand and meet the unique needs of our customers. They lead our customers through the sales process from contract to delivery.

About the Role
The Contract Manager selected for this role will be managing large scale contracts for our customers. The position is not a people manager role but is focused on ensuring all processes and procedures amongst multiple stakeholders. Aircraft delivery experience is preferred for this role.


Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years Contracts administration or related experience. Advanced degree in related field may offset one year of experience requirement.

Position Purpose:

Individual contributor role and subject matter expert in the Worldwide Sales Contracts team.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Conducts negotiations reviews and management of contracts .
  2. Supports proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and policies and procedures .
  3. Reviews and coordinates approvals of contractual documents for protection of companys contractual position satisfaction of customer specifications and requirements and adherence to company policy .
  4. Advises leadership and other functions of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions .
  5. Acts as the primary interface with customers including fact-finding audits and formal contract negotiations .
  6. Acts as a focal point with other departments for resolution of problems regarding contracts .
  7. Manages contract change process and works with Program Management Engineering Finance and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk .
  8. Assists with the development of subcontract statements of work and flow-down of mandatory or otherwise necessary/prudent terms and conditions from a business and contract perspective .
  9. Initiate and manage the preparation of documents necessary to fulfill contract requirements. Analyze customer and/or supplier company requirements for contract amendments responses to internal/external customer and/or supplier identified issues and similar items .
  10. Provide subject-matter expertise and assistance to prepare documentation and checklists and coordinate with internal/external customers and outside parties (e.g. attorneys escrow agents and financing companies) as necessary .
  11. Proactively assist in developing and implementing new/improving existing policies and practices to address changing internal and external contracting requirements.
  12. Ensures compliance with company policies laws and regulations .

Additional Functions:
  1. Collaborates and works well cross-functionally throughout the business .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
  2. Possesses strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) Sharepoint to support communications and business needs.
  3. Demonstrates strong self-motivation and able to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business importance.
  4. Demonstrates strong decision-making ability negotiation skills and leadership competencies.
  5. Demonstrates practiced adeptness in all areas of contracts administration.
  6. Contracts Management experience in commercial experience.
  7. Proven ability to take an entrepreneurial approach and demonstrated negotiation skills in successfully closing on a variety of International and Commercial endeavors.
  8. Must interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
  9. Experience in the development/creation negotiation and administration of various commercial contracts and agreements.
  10. International contracts experience a plus.
  11. Where applicable ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  12. Ability to multi-task and prioritize and close actions before deadlines as required.
  13. Must be proficient in MS tool set. Experience with Sharepoint and Power BI a plus.
