About Northern Beaches Hospital
Operated by Healthscope Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community including Surgery a 50 bed Emergency Department Intensive Care Birthing Paediatrics Cardiac Mental Health Dialysis Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing and to be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services Personal Care
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital
- Minimum 1 years experience in the acute setting.
- Demonstrated practice according to evidence based nursing and latest contemporary practices in nursing
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Flexibility with shift allocations timing.
As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills
- Provide recommendations to specialist treatment programs based on their diagnosis
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

If you are successful in the role you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
