The role
As a Project Controls Manager youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Joining our Mission Systems teams you will lead on the implementation and management of effective project controls including cost time risk and quality on the Dreadnought Programme.
Day-to-day youll be hands on in delivery working closely with Project and Programme Managers and leading Project Controls across our Weapon Handing and Launch Systems projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams functional departments suppliers and customers.
- Implement and ensure compliance with project controls governance in line with customer contracts.
- Lead scheduling teams to create manage and analyse integrated project schedules across all execution phases.
- Oversee project controls functions including cost change risk opportunity and document management.
- Collaborate on schedule risk analysis run simulations and deliver accurate internal and external project reporting.
This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the onsite in our Ashton Vale Bristol site and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Project Controls Manager
- Proven hands on delivery experience applying project controls and governance measures on complex/major projects or programmes.
- An organised confident communicator who also is self-motivated and the ability to transform complex problems into simple elegant solutions.
- Knowledge of project controls approaches and practices such as planning / scheduling management cost management risk management and analysis performance management change management and configuration control.
- Experience in working with project controls toolsets such as MSP / P6 RiskHive ERP / SAP systems.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
