The Role
The Governance Team Assistant will support the efficient delivery of the BSBs governance arrangements. This will entail providing effective governance support across the team maintaining accurate records supporting compliance with policies and processes adhering to BSBs service complaints standards collating accurate information for corporate risk reports and service complaints reports / internal audits and updating risk actions.
Key responsibilities
The Governance Team Assistant will support the Governance & Risk Manager and the Head of Governance as well as the wider team as required. The Governance Team Assistant will provide efficient administrative support towards the timely collation of updates for papers risk registers administer service complaints maintain the policy register and provide effective internal audit liaison support.
Key skills and experience
Relationship building and collaboration Ability to work as part of a team develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Independent positive attitude with the ability to work on own initiative and use tact and diplomacy
Experience of collating information to support drafting reports and summarising information for consideration by senior colleagues
Experience in customer services and complaint handling
Demonstrable experience in diary management / scheduling meetings
Experience of providing administrative support including minute taking drafting agendas letters and action work emanating out of committees / other meetings.
Knowledge
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications proficiently including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to source and interpret information and data
Able to collate and summarise information from a variety of sources effectively with attention to detail
Personal attributes/behaviours
Excellent organisational and time management skills able to deal with conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills presenting information clearly
Occasionally attend evening Board and committee meetings
