Job Title: Test Process Manager

Location: Cracow Poland

The Senior Test Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a motivated and capable team establishing an effective and consistent approach to the delivery of Test Management. Responsible for leading the delivery of test management to multiple Galderma technology products and IT projects working with other teams to proactively manage dependencies overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints.

The Senior Test Manager oversees the testing process of products or systems to ensure they meet quality standards before release.

This position involves overseeing an organizations testing framework policy processes and teams requiring a strategic mindset and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall testing policy process capability and strategy aligning it with the organizations goals and requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Galderma testing teams including test managers Senior Test Analysts testers and Suppliers on Galderma standards and Policy.
  • Establish and maintain a quality and continuous improvement culture within the testing change technology and delivery function.

2. Test Process Management:

  • Define implement and maintain standardized testing framework processes methodologies and best practices and maintain these with the testing team.
  • Oversee the creation of test strategy plans test cases and test scripts to ensure comprehensive traceability and test coverage.
  • Ensure appropriate testing tools and frameworks are used to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Resource and Budget Management:

  • Planned and managed the testing budget including resources tools and training needs.
  • Allocate testing resources effectively across projects ensuring optimal utilization and testing service continuity.
  • Forecast future resource needs based on the Delivery change process pipelines and business priorities.

4. Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all software products meet quality standards and that defects are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Manage testing risks across Galderma and monitor and mitigate risks associated with testing including managing defect backlogs and prioritizing issues.
  • Establish metrics to measure the testing processes effectiveness and drive improvements per the Test Policy.

5. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:

  • Act as the main point of contact for testing-related matters liaising with the programme project managers delivery leads Solution architect leads development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress quality metrics and risk assessments to senior management.
  • Facilitate discussions on testing outcomes challenges and resolution strategies. Attend steerco calls to represent the testing function and provide feedback from the testing perspective on agreed-upon outcomes.

6. Test Automation and Innovation:

  • Lead the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort on stabilized applications in the Production environment.
  • Stay updated on emerging testing technologies methodologies and industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into the testing practice and strategies.

7. Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure that testing framework policy and processes comply with industry standards regulatory requirements and organizational policies and objectives.
  • Implement processes to maintain data security and privacy during testing activities especially when handling sensitive information.

8. Customer and End-User Focus:

  • Ensure that the testing approach considers the end-user experience and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer support and user feedback channels to incorporate real-world scenarios into testing.

9. Continuous Improvement:

  • Review and refine testing processes tools and techniques to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Encourage post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of testing methodologies tools and best practices including automation and performance testing.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex situations identify key issues and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate testing outcomes and influence decisions.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and driving resolutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt testing strategies to evolving program and project requirements and business priorities.
  • Fluent English
  • Educated to degree or equivalent qualification level or ability to demonstrate appropriate work-based experience.
  • Significant experience of developing a test management function is desirable.
  • Ability to set monitor and report measurable team performance targets.
  • Ability to produce and present reports (both written and verbal) to all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of the context within which Galderma operates is desirable
  • Professional certifications in software testing (e.g. ISTQB CSTE). - nice to have.
