We are hiring a Case Worker at Target Housing to join our GROWTH project
Locations: Sheffield& Rotherham
Job Type: Full-Time Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months

In a typical week
You will be allocated a caseload of clients who you will support for the agreed contractual hours.
We have offices in each area where you can collaborate with other colleagues and managers. You can discuss your client needs and issues as support for yourself and others.
Working hours are generally 9am to 5pm with a 20-minute unpaid lunch break.
We offer
A starting salary of 25715 after a full 1 years service this will rise to 27025 and further years service this will rise to 27995.
You will get an initial 28 days Annual Leave with an additional day a year up to 33 days leave PLUS 8 Bank Holidays.

Specialist female caseworker
The postholder will deliver a package of intensive housing management support therapeutic and social support to clients accessing the GROWTH project.
The GROWTH project is designed to address the complex needs of women who have experienced child removal or at risk of child removal through intensive outreach support to enable service users to make positive change in their lives and address barriers within their family relationship. The post holder will have the ability to adapt rapidly to shifting demands and needs and show flexible and creative working styles.
The postholder will be expected to adhere to professional codes of conduct statutory legislation and practice requirements including CPD and mandatory training.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake an effective flexible intensive outreach approach to engage with Women on the GROWTH project
- Develop focused bespoke and creative interventions that meet the womans needs and objectives
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children young people and vulnerable adults that you are responsible for or that you come into contact.
- Record accurate client data and key notes according to Data Protection regulations
- Providing a gender specific services to women who have experienced multiple disadvantages.
- Developing individual support and risk management plans which address the risk of harm to females and their children and to ensure that such plans are in place and regularly reviewed.
- Working in a psychologically and trauma informed way to support females alongside partner agencies to increase independence and address barriers which may have contributed to child removal.
- Conducting key work sessions on a regular basis and keeping casework records up to date.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team attend multi- agency meetings.
- Work closely with social services to establish child contact arrangements taking part in case conferences and completing reports for court.
- Provide intensive housing management support to clients
- Participate and facilitate group work peer support sessions and activities for service users.
- Monitor clients compliance with their occupancy agreements and act to resolve non-compliance issues informing line manager of serious breaches.
Person specifications
- 3 Years experience of supporting people with multiple complex needs including hard to reach clients who struggle to engage.
- Experience in building professional relationships to enable development
- Broad understanding across a range of relevant issues
- Relevant qualifications and / or knowledge in specialist areas such as Substance Misuse Dual Diagnosis Domestic Violence brain injury Mental Health and Welfare benefits criminal justice system.
- Experience in lone working with vulnerable clients
- Ability to record client notes on an I.T system and verbally communicate handover to colleagues
- Understand the principles of PIE (Physiological Informed Environments) and TIP (Trauma Informed Practice)
- Experience of achieving positive outcomes with clients using Motivational interviewing and assertive engagement
- Working alongside Volunteers to manage risk and deal with any support issues
- Willingness and a flexible approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to a road worthy vehicle
