Job Description

Position Title: Electronics & Instrumentation Technician

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

Position Location: Portage La Prairie

Requisition ID:36686

Duties/Responsibilities:

Successful candidate will maintain & troubleshoot & Calibrate automated valving both digital and analogue pressure level and flow transmitters.
Perform TQC checks and update documentation for audit purposes.
Will provide expertise on special projects involving systems within their level of skills.
Responsibilities also include implementing new improvements and projects related to instrumentation field.
Day position but from time to time may be required to come in and assist in repairs apart from regular hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements:

Proven skills in Instrumentation Field.
Problem solving and troubleshooting instrumentation issues along with identifying reliability and optimization opportunities.
Completing assigned tasks in a timely safe and accurate manner overcoming barriers and engaging others when required.
Strong computer skills; MS Office Windows Calibration Software.
Experience with FTV SCADA would be an asset.
Experience with process control systems within a food-processing environment is an asset.
Candidate must be a self-starter able to work in a team atmosphere as a leader or team member.
Strong problem solving competencies with troubleshooting experience in their field.
Must have either Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma / CET Certification or Journeyman Instrument Mechanic.
