About the opportunity:
This leadership role within Launch Housings Homelessness Support & Impact portfolio reports to the Service Manager Specialist Child & Family Services and supports the organisations mission to end homelessness. The Coordinator oversees two key programsFamilies Crisis and Transitional Support (FaCTS) and the Supporting Families Program (SFP)delivering trauma-informed child- and family-centred services to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or family violence.
The role provides operational leadership ensuring high-quality housing-first support through outreach-based services. FaCTS supports children and families in emergency and transitional housing including on-site at Launch Housing South Melbourne a 7-bed families crisis supported accommodation service. SFP focuses on early intervention to help families sustain tenancies in public social or private housing.
The Coordinator manages a Team Leader five FaCTS Case Managers and co-leads three SFP Case Managers. Responsibilities include line management service delivery oversight program development reporting budgeting and operational management of the South Melbourne families crisis units.
Based at South Melbourne with work at the Collingwood Hub as needed the Coordinator ensures services are consistent child-safe and aligned with the dignity and needs of families and children.
This is a permanent full-time role.
