The Opportunity:

The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University (WSU) invites candidates to apply for our IT Support Technician.

You will provide essential technical support to faculty staff and students within the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. You will be serving as the first point of contact for IT-related inquiries. In this position you will be responsible for independently diagnosing and resolving basic hardware software and peripheral issues. Key duties include maintaining and updating computers and related systems across staff faculty and instructional labs; assisting IT professionals in providing hardware and application support for day-to-day operations; supporting video and audio needs for meetings and classroom presentations; and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. You will also lead student employees on daily tasks and projects manage the IT Help Desk ticketing system and maintain the inventory tracking system for computing and software assets. Additional responsibilities include assisting with software review and acquisition processes to ensure effective and up-to-date IT operations throughout the college.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3643 to $4865 Range 42 Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

In accordance with
RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.
