Job Description

Amazon is seeking a solution focused organized self-starter to join our Human Resources team as a Sr. HR Business Partner to provide HR Business support to clients in the North America Stores (NAS) organization. NAS is a dynamic global organization focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience through innovative technology. In this position you will partner with members of the Home & Lifestyle Leadership Directors to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and foster people effectiveness for their respective groups. You will think strategically provide broad scale thought partnership and roll up your sleeves and dive deep into practical application. You will serve as a liaison between the business and the central corporate teams to assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management employee relations compensation career development and leadership development. This role also provides strong project management to various HR initiatives & company-wide HR projects. The role reports to the HR Leader for Home & Lifestyle and partner with NAS PXT team to execute the NAS PXT strategy across organizations.


A day in the life
- Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.
- Partner with business leaders on organizational design workforce planning succession planning and skills assessment.
- Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance retention and employee experience.
- Provide management coaching and training to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues.
- Plan manage and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of the client organization and leadership review process and the strategic objectives therein. This includes both annual and mid-year processes which focus on performance management and talent development.
- Provide compensation support including salary planning approval of salary actions promotions and job re-leveling.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and local regulations.


- 5 years work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role including performance management change management and employee communications
- Bachelors degree in related discipline
- Experience with business and technology teams and a track record of influencing through data-driven recommendations
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness
- Experience with MS Office Suite HRIS systems


- HR experience supporting tech teams or in a tech company
- Experience in utilizing and building AI based applications within HR and for client use cases.
- Experience in the development and administration of HR programs
- Experience in assessing management and executive talent
- Excellent presentation skills
- A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the pulse of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
