Job Description
Work Schedule:
100% FTE Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 am 5:00 pm.
As an Advanced Practice Provider youll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality cost-effective care for our cancer patients.
We are seeking aNurse PractitionerorPhysician Assistantto:
- Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments of oncology patients with acute health issues from cancer and cancer therapies (surgery chemotherapy and radiation therapy)
- Manage and modify ongoing hospital-based care and collaborate with inpatient Gyn Oncology team and consulting team to adjust plan of care
- Perform ER and other inpatient consultations
- Be a liaison and manage patients as they transition from inpatient to outpatient care
- Work with a wide variety of team members including students residents RNs social workers pharmacists and care coordinators.
- Effectively communicate with team members patients and patients family members.
Education:
Minimum
If Nurse Practitioner:
Masters or Doctorates degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant:
Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following:Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Family; Womens Health.
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
