Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Coverage Period: August 2025 12-month assignment
Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a 6p 12p 11p 8p 7a (MDs); 9a 9p 1a 1p (NP/PAs)
COVERAGE DATES
August 2025 start
Ongoing for 12 months
Minimum 3 shifts/month required
Additional dates as scheduled

EMR System: Meditech Expanse
Specialty Backup Available: Yes
Support Staff Available: APPs RNs scribes (32 hours for MDs)
Reason for Coverage: Staffing 2 FT physicians
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 60 90 days (with clean file)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Emergency Medicine procedures appropriate for the volume and acuity (TBD by facility)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license and DEA required
Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM only)
DEA: Active
Certifications: ATLS ACLS PALS BLS
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Medicine
Other Qualifications: EM residency trained
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency care across a range of acuities
Collaborate with APPs nurses and specialty backup
Use Meditech Expanse EMR effectively
Participate in EMR training and orientation
Ensure timely and compassionate patient care in a high-volume ED
