We are looking for a highly driven and ambitious Assistant Accountant to support our UK US Spain Cyber business unit as we embark on a journey of transformational change.
A position within the largest part of our Group you will need to demonstrate excellent analytical and numerical abilities with a high level of accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
Being a team player is critical as you will be part of a core Management Accounts Team responsible for preparing the financial results of the business whilst supporting the Finance Business Partners.
Acting as the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to the Global Cyber Finance Manager and Management Accountant.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure intercompany postings are accurate and completed on a timely basis
- Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled variances are investigated and resolved every period end
- Review the general ledger as part of the period end process to ensure postings are in the correct place
- Process accruals at period end to ensure completeness and accurate
- Process prepayments at period end to ensure completeness and accurate
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for several legal entities
- Maintain the fixed asset register and perform regular updates
- Support the team Finance Business Partners and others as and when necessary on any queries
- Ensure that all spreadsheets processes and desktop instructions are fully documented regularly reviewed updated and stored centrally
- Support the year end audit work by providing evidence to the external auditors
- Assist with internal audits ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
