Management Lecturer (PhD Required)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced business management lecturer to join our faculty at our doctoral business university in Ghana. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lectures mentor doctoral students and contribute to the universitys research and academic programs. This role requires expertise in business management disciplines a passion for teaching and a commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Curriculum Development:

  • Deliver engaging and research-informed lectures in business management topics such as strategic management organizational behavior entrepreneurship or related fields to doctoral students.

  • Develop and update course materials syllabi and assessments to align with global academic standards and local business contexts.

  • Facilitate case studies seminars and workshops to enhance critical thinking and practical application of business concepts.

• Research and Scholarship:

  • Conduct high-impact research in business management contributing to peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

  • Supervise doctoral students dissertations and research projects providing guidance and feedback.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends in business management and integrate them into teaching and research.

• Mentorship and Student Support:

  • Mentor and advise doctoral students on academic and professional development.

  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment that supports diverse student backgrounds.

• Institutional Contributions:

  • Participate in curriculum review committees faculty meetings and university events.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the universitys academic reputation and community engagement.

  • Contribute to the development of executive education programs and industry partnerships.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Business Management Organizational Behavior Strategic Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the graduate or doctoral level in business management disciplines.
• Strong record of published research in peer-reviewed journals in the field of business management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging curriculum for doctoral-level courses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven track record of successful doctoral student supervision and mentoring.

Preferred:

• Must a Ghanaian currently residing in Ghana or willing to move to Ghana. 
• Experience in curriculum development and program assessment at the doctoral level.
• Active involvement in professional organizations related to business management.
• Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage research projects.
• Experience in executive education or corporate training programs.
• Familiarity with online and blended learning methodologies.
• Knowledge of the West African business environment and its unique challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Developing curricula and delivering course material for doctoral-level business management courses.
• Conducting cutting-edge research in business management and related fields.
• Publishing research in high-impact journals and presenting at international conferences.
• Supervising doctoral dissertations and mentoring Ph.D. candidates.
• Participating in departmental and faculty meetings and serving on academic committees.
• Providing training and mentoring to teaching assistants and junior faculty members.
• Reviewing and improving teaching methods and materials to ensure academic excellence.
• Assisting with student recruitment interviews and academic counseling sessions.
• Contributing to the creation of an inclusive academic environment that promotes intellectual growth equality and freedom of expression.
• Engaging in community outreach and fostering industry partnerships to enhance the universitys reputation and impact.
