Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Developer/Webmaster to manage and maintain our Shopify e-commerce website. This role involves ongoing support site updates customization and seamless integration of Shopify with our point-of-sale (POS) system (Lightspeed) and inventory management platform (SKUIQ). The ideal candidate has strong technical skills a problem-solving mindset and experience working with Shopifys ecosystem to support day-to-day operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Management & Maintenance:
- Maintain update and optimize our Shopify storefront for performance accessibility and user experience.
- Implement design and content changes as needed using Liquid HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Monitor site performance and uptime troubleshoot issues and implement fixes promptly.
- Systems Integration & Support:
- Ensure seamless integration between Shopify and our POS system (Lightspeed).
- Maintain accurate synchronization of product data pricing and inventory across Shopify Lightspeed and SKUIQ.
- Liaise with platform vendors (Shopify Lightspeed SKUIQ) to troubleshoot integration issues and apply updates.
- Ongoing E-commerce Support:
- Collaborate with marketing sales and operations teams to support product launches promotions and campaigns.
- Assist with A/B testing analytics implementation and conversion rate optimization.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams on backend usage.
- Customization & Development:
- Build and maintain custom Shopify themes or modify existing themes to meet design and functional requirements.
- Develop custom apps or scripts to enhance store functionality and streamline processes.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with web standards SEO best practices and data protection regulations.
- Implement security patches backups and regular updates to prevent vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or Webmaster preferably in a retail/e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of Shopifys Liquid templating language APIs and admin dashboard.
- Hands-on experience integrating Shopify with Lightspeed POS and SKUIQ inventory manager.
- Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and web debugging tools.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and Shopify CLI.
- Familiarity with SEO performance optimization and responsive design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing Shopify custom apps or working with third-party APIs.
- Background in UI/UX design or experience using design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics Tag Manager and other e-commerce analytics tools.
