Job Description
The Chubb North American Marine team services several business units within Chubb with diverse books of business involving commercial ocean marine cargo inland marine transit motor truck cargo legal liability and other transportation/warehousemen related claims. This position manages pending inventory and daily workflow of incoming claims while ensuring high customer service levels and compliance with best practices are being met. The position requires the analysis of a broad number of marine coverages.
- Analyze first reports to determine nature cause and extent of loss.
- Promptly and properly develop the claim file to provide accurate and timely investigations and loss analysis.
- Maintain an active diary to achieve timely development of file.
- Timely disposition of the claim.
- Recognize recovery where possible.
- Adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices acts.
- Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
- Direct manage and supervise surveyors investigators experts and attorneys subject to established guidelines and procedures.
- 5 years of experience in Commercial Ocean Marine Cargo claims
- Candidate must have proven technical knowledge in the investigation and analysis of commercial marine cargo claimsinland marine transit motor truck cargo legal liability and other transportation/warehousemen related claims.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative fashion with a wide spectrum of people develop and maintain strong business relationships within claims and with underwriting partners.
- Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to address diverse audiences.
- Candidate must be both service and results driven highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to make timely and appropriate decisions.
