Primary purpose: The primary purpose of this full-time 10 month position is to provide administrative support for a 5-year grant from the Lilly Endowment that will allow both faculty and students at the University of Dayton as well as up to twelve parishes and congregations in the Miami Valley region to explore how to enhance worship for children with disabilities. The person in this position will be working one-on-one with faculty students and area churches to determine needs follow up on church/UD collaborations order materials and provide support or referrals as needed. This position will also provide the administrative support for planned regional meetings and conferences that take place during the grant period.
HS diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with how to carry out organizational procedures and improve them as needed
Ability to manage details e.g. coordinate travel and meetings
Knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites and Zoom
Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality
Experience working with the public
Ability to do work independently with minimal supervision
Experience collaborating with others
Knowledge and sensitivity to Catholic Marianist mission and values
Strong personal commitment to diversity and inclusion
Ability to work effectively with and on behalf of diverse people
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Knowledge of Montessori educational principles
Experience with Godly Play or Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in working with children
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively respectfully and professionally with multiple constituents at all levels in an organization
Successful experience learning and adapting to new information and systems
Knowledge of children with disabilities and their needs
Experience with planning large meetings conferences or workshops
Ecumenical work with multiple Christian denominations
Experience with using budget software in a business or non-profit setting
Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills
Successful experience working under time pressure
