Job Overview:
As a Black Belt Productivity Specialist you will have the opportunity to drive change
Lead medium to large Lean Six Sigma projects of varying complexities at assigned locations and facilities within the South Region. Identify and prioritize productivity projects within the Air Separation (bulk atmospheric gases) CO2 and Standard Plants areas and within the Production Distribution and Business Value Streams. Conduct value stream mapping of current processes identify waste and implement process improvements. Monitor production KPIs and identify causes of variance.
This position requires a self-motivated individual who is expected to function at a high level with limited supervision. Responsible for the leadership of black belt projects and oversight of green/gray belt projects which are broad in nature and across multiple sites. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of productivity methodology and processes. Act as a resource for the application of advanced productivity tools and discipline. Overcome resistance to change. Achieve productivity benefit goals by skillfully implementing productivity projects. Work well with and learn from stakeholders at various levels in particular the Plant Managers and their Operation team as well as the Operations Director to align and drive initiatives. Utilize learnings and system interdependencies to improve plant KPIs identify cost reduction/capital project opportunities and increase plant profitability.
Reporting relationships:
This position reports to the Capital & Productivity Director and is primarily an individual contributor role. Will train and coach junior level productivity professionals and green/gray belts on large/complex projects and lead project teams.
