Position Summary:
The University of Colorados (CU) Office of Advancement manages and coordinates administrative functions that support the campus-based fundraising field staff. These functions include communications data management CRM operations reporting & analytics estate gift planning gift processing marketing research and other services. These centralized services place the institution in an optimal position to attract substantial support from the philanthropic sector.
The Assistant Director of Portfolio Intelligence serves as the leader of the Portfolio Intelligence department helping lead all aspects of prospect management functions for the University of Colorados fundraising operation. They act as a strategic partner to leaders across the four campuses and Presidents Office that our team supports bringing an open innovative customer service approach to discussions and using their expertise in prospect management policy data and analysis to help find the best solutions to customer needs. They are responsible for hiring supervising training and mentoring six Portfolio Intelligence Analysts. In collaboration with the Director they set the strategic direction of the team by helping draft annual strategic and operating plans and a budget for the Portfolio Intelligence department. They work closely with the Assistant Director of the Research & Analytics department who is responsible for prospect research functions at the University of Colorado. They carry out large-scale and sophisticated projects such as benchmarking analyses guideline documentation and crafting new reports.
This position reports to the Director of Portfolio Intelligence Research and Data Management and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System.
Where You Will Work:
This position can be either hybrid (part work from home part in-office) or fully in-office. System Advancement is located in the uptown neighborhood of Denver. The incumbent will work on CUs four campuses as needed for meetings with fundraising staff but would also have the option of working space in the System Advancement Denver office. Most meetings are by Zoom but on average 2-4 a month might require in-person presence.

What We Offer:
Salary: The anticipated hiring range has been established at $95000 - $100000. There may be limited funds available for relocation if needed.
CU System Administration takes into consideration a combination of the selected candidates education training and experience as it relates to the position as well as the positions scope and complexity internal pay equity and external market value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
