About You
This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of the Councils Pensions Service. As the strategic lead for pensions you will oversee the delivery of high-quality compliant pension services and provide expert advice to employees senior leaders elected members and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing pension policies across the organisation ensuring they meet statutory requirements while supporting the Councils broader objectives.
Youll lead a skilled team managing all aspects of pension operations - from regulatory compliance and data reporting to handling complex cases such as ill-health retirements and dispute resolution. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement you will ensure the service remains efficient forward-thinking and responsive to changing legislative and organisational needs.
