Job Description

THIS IS A 5 DAY EMERGENCY POSTING PURPOSE/GOAL: The Curriculum Support Specialist (CSS)- Math supports curriculum-related activities for the department in Grades 8 - 12. QUALIFICATIONS: Certified teacherCurrent Mathematics teacher 8-12 preferred POSITION DUTIES: Plan and facilitate content professional development time for English in Grades 8 - 12 according to the published District PD CalendarSupport curriculum implementation and developmentSupport teachers to administer the MAP assessment to grades 8 and 9 and subsequent data analysisCommunicate between the department Curriculum Coordinator and BMHS administrationSupport the development of the 2026-2027 Program of Studies and course scheduleSupport and inform purchasing of necessary materials from the department budget with guidance from the principalProvide general support to the Math departmentAttend the Grade 7 Parent evening event (Spring) and speak about the departmentCOMPENSATION: CSS will be paid according to the teacher contract Article 27 and Appendix DExcept in cases of severe emergency CSS shall not be used as substitutesExcept in case of an emergency CSS non-teaching time shall be devoted to department work
