Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Sr Urban Planner/Principal Planner/Director of Urban Planning in Mount Laurel. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive innovative urban planning strategies and foster sustainable community development.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of urban planning principles exceptional analytical skills and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale urban projects. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders including government agencies community groups and private developers to create and implement comprehensive urban plans that enhance the quality of life for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of urban planning projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform planning decisions.
- Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather input and build consensus.
- Prepare detailed reports presentations and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior planning staff.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Urban Planning Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in urban planning or a related field.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in GIS AutoCAD and other planning software.
- Certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred.
