Description

TheHead of Small Lower Middle Commercial Insurance Technology will work closely with theCommercial Insurance CIOto define a technology strategy and related execution plans to support multiple transformation programs inSmall Lower Middle Commercial Insurance (SLM CI).

The Head of Small Lower Middle Commercial Insurance Technology will also be part of theCommercial InsuranceTechnology and broaderNorth America Technology leadership team and will be responsible for the management of all the Information Technology related project and activities (change run risk and budget management) for theSmall Lower Middle Commercial Insurance (SLM CI)specific portfolio of programs and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Engagement - Work closely with business and Commercial Insurance stakeholders to build alignment and define technology strategy technology roadmap and execution plans. Communicate on a periodic basis negotiate success report progress manage and resolve risk and issues.
  2. Program management - Manage multiple concurrent business transformation and technology programs and projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time on budget meeting business expectations and quality standards. Ensure issues and risks are raised and managed in a timely manner. Ensure Chubb Project management standards are observed.
  3. Software Engineering - Manage development of multiple applications adhering to Chubbs architectural standards and system development frameworks (agile and waterfall)
  4. Service and Risk Management - Manage and report on service levels for multiple global regional and local systems. Manage related ITIL Processes (e.g. incident problem change management) Information Security Process (e.g. Vulnerability management) and RIsk MAnagement processes (e.g. currency)
  5. Team Leadership - As a key member of the Global Commercial Insurance Technology Leadership team lead and motivate diverse distributed Chubb and partner teams. Own the talent agenda (acquisitionretention) for the Operation and Commercial Insurance technology function

Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with Chubbs overall business goals.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends identifying opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Integration and Collaboration:
Work closely with other technology leaders to integrate Claims platforms with Chubbs existing systems and third-party platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation and alignment with business objectives.

Stakeholder Management:
Engage with senior leadership providing insights and recommendations on the technology strategy that enables the Claims strategy.
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners ensuring they meet Chubbs standards and deliver value.

Influence and Negotiate
Engage in a range of approaches to generate solutions seeking expert inputs and advice to inform negotiating strategy
Pre-empts and avoids conflict across organizations and with senior internal and external stakeholders

Operational Efficiency and Results Orientation:
Optimize technology management and development processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop metrics and KPIs and OKRs to measure the success of technology solutions and initiatives.

Talent Development:
Build and lead a high-performing team providing mentorship and development opportunities.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.


Act with Integrity
Models the highest standards of ethical behavior and reinforce them in others
Represent the organization in an honest ethical and professional way and set an example for others to follow
Promote a culture of integrity and professionalism



Qualifications
  • 15-20 years of demonstrated experience in developing and running enterprise scale software platforms out of which at least 10 years in a technology leadership role
  • 5-10 years of leading or being a key leader in digital transformation programs ideally in Financial Services
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance domain would be ideal
  • Experience with standard Project Management frameworks (e.g. PMP)
  • Experience with Agile development methods and tools
  • Experience with implementing and operating within ITIL aligned service management frameworks
  • Bachelors degree

The pay range for the role is $185400 to $236600. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
