As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth across key market segments. Youll represent the Pier One brand with authenticity and flair delivering unforgettable experiences that reflect our unique harbourside identity.
Core ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Market Development
- Identify and secure new business across key market segments.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with hotel revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform proactive sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients agencies and partners.
- Represent the hotel at industry events trade shows and networking functions.
- Collaborate with Marriotts wider sales network to maximise reach and impact.
Brand & Experience Alignment
- Ensure all sales activities reflect the Pier One brand and Marriott standards.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing events and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Prepare compelling proposals presentations and contracts that align with client needs and brand values.
Education & Experience
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major; 3 years experience in sales or related professional area
OR - 4-year bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major; 1 year experience in sales or related professional area
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development or sales ideally within hospitality or lifestyle sectors
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Passion for hospitality creativity and delivering mind blowing guest experiences
