Job Description
Weyerhaeusers Springfield Tree Farm operation based out of Springfield OR has an opening for a Processor Operator. We are seeking individuals who desire to work safely in a market-focused logging environment. This is a full-time hourly position. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the current Labor Agreement) include Medical Dental Vision 401k vacation and holidays. Rate of pay is $37.600 per hour.
Key Functions:
- Able to safely and competently fulfill all processing responsibilities to include the ability to process/manufacture and sort stems to the required standards implement new operating software developments quickly respond to different bucking directions as market changes and required record keeping.
- Process stems on and off the road under various yarding systems while being able to safely operate the processor on various slopes and soils.
- Able to perform and assist on equipment inspections and fully support and participate in preventative maintenance procedures and routine maintenance repairs as they develop.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Two years of experience operating a processor
- Competent qualified and be able to work independently and/or as a team member
