The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing 787 Delivery Center is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Specialist to join the Quality In-Service Investigations Team. This role will support delivered 787 Aircraft as a Service Engineer Quality Liaison (SEQL) working Root Cause and Corrective Action for Manufacturing and Quality Escapements. This position will be located on the main campus in North Charleston SC.
Position Responsibilities:
Monitors the Boeing Communication System (BCS) for customer reported manufacturing and quality build escapes or ARL issues. When the concern is received through another method integrate it into BCS as appropriate.
Reviews all customer provided documentation for clarity completeness and accuracy. Ensures that each problem description specifically states the Is Condition and the Should Be condition in conformance with the released product definition data (PDD) or other controlled media.
Coordinates with Boeing Customer Support Service Engineering (SE) and Field Service representative (FSR) as required to obtain additional information and investigation Root Cause Corrective Action findings.
Knowledgeable of 787 assembly and production processes manufacturing capabilities (e.g. composites structures) and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g. design definition program directives engineering drawings change memos wiring diagrams and schematics functional tests supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
Assigns a formal Corrective Action Emergent Process Document (CA EPD) to initiate a quality investigation when there is evidence that a specific defect escaped Boeing production Spares or BGS Commercial Services and is a violation of a specific drawing or specification requirement.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and suppliers.
Leads multi-function multi-site groups to develop company directives policies processes procedures and metrics to assure program contract customer regulatory requirements international standards and working agreements are deployed.
Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data metrics models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
Conducts research compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience working with/involved with Corrective Actions or Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
5 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
5 years of experience in a Quality role
5 years experience with Velocity REDARS/ EID PSDS CMES
5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook PowerPoint Access Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors Degree or higher
Aerospace Fabrication or Manufacturing experience
Experience with Quality Management Systems
Material Review Board (MRB) experience
Experience presenting and communicating to leadership
